Milan travel

Milan

Milan constantly attracts a huge number of tourists, who want to visit places of historical interest and enjoy the beauties of city life. This modern and chaotic city lives in a frenzied rhythm and the streets there are full of life. Is it worth mentioning the fact that Milan is the cradle of Italian fashion? Other than that it is an important art, commerce, education, entertainment, research and tourism center.

You would need at least a week to explore properly all of the city's must-see sights and hidden gems. But if you have a lack of time in the city, use our Milan itinerary to discover the best of the town.

We definitely recommend getting to Milan Cathedral. It is the most impressive Gothic style cathedral in the world and the highlight of Milan attractions. Here you can enjoy an amazing number of beautifully sculpted statues, spires, monuments and artworks. The most famous of all these is the Madonnina, a copper statue of the virgin Mary.

Leaving the temple, don't forget to climb to the Cathedral's terraced rooftop to take in the impressive panoramic views of Milan. Afterwards, head to Milan's business card - the Gallery of Victor Emmanuel II.

The Gallery is the oldest active shopping mall and an impressive sample of exquisite Italian architecture. This is a tourist stronghold, due to its numerous famous designers' boutiques, prestigious restaurants, cafes and exhibitions. Here you can snap pictures, gaze at the spectacular architecture or window-shop at the upscale stores.

And the last, but not the least destination in our Milan tour is La Scala Theatre, on the other side of the Gallery. The theatre is regarded as one of the principal opera houses of the world. It has hosted operas, concerts and ballets over 200 years. The majestic interior and works of the greatest composers and famous singers will leave nobody unmoved.

Milan is sure to be one of the most delightful surprises of your trip to Italy. So please waste no time and go on a journey! And remember that travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer.
